This summit is more than just a meeting—it’s a platform designed to strengthen ties, foster innovation, and contribute to Slovakia’s future by leveraging the extraordinary talents and achievements of Slovak professionals in North America.

Following the success of our inaugural summit, this year’s gathering promises to build on that momentum, bringing together an elite group of Slovaks from across business, science, technology, academia, and the arts. The 2024 summit, organized in collaboration with the Consulate General of Slovakia in New York, will focus on the theme “From Goals to Greatness: Celebrating Slovak Success and Giving Back.”

The challenges facing Slovakia today are significant, but so too is the potential for impact. The Slovak diaspora in North America has a unique opportunity to be a driving force for positive change, and the Slovak PRO Summit serves as a key event to explore how we can best contribute to Slovakia’s future. By uniting some of the most accomplished Slovaks in various fields, this summit is a chance to share insights, foster connections, and chart new paths for collaboration between the diaspora and Slovakia.

Summit Highlights

• Keynote Speaker: Slovak hockey legend and former New York Ranger, Marian Gaborik, will share his journey, “From Goals to Greatness.”

• Panel Discussions: Our panels will feature experts discussing business success in America and how to give back to both our communities in America and Slovakia.

• TedX Talks: We are bringing experts from various fields to deliver inspiring talks, including Dominika Durovcikova from MIT, Maria Bielikova from the Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies, and Martina Kolesarova from the Pontis Foundation.

• Fireside Chat: Lubos Pastor, Charles P. McQuaid Distinguished Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, will engage in a fireside chat about how Slovak experts in America can impact Slovakia.

• Presidential Discussion: The summit will culminate in an exclusive discussion featuring H.E. Peter Pellegrini, President of Slovakia, engaging directly with the Slovak PRO community.
